Ed came to National Financial Services Group in 2000, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in the financial industry. He is a Registered Representative and Investment Adviser Representative of Equity Services, Inc. and offers securities in Florida. Ed is also insurance licensed in Florida. He has obtained his Life Underwriter Training Council (LUTC) designation. 

A former U.S. Army Staff Sergeant, Ed later enrolled in college, and is a graduate of Bob Jones University, Greenville, SC, where he earned a Business Management Degree. Ed initiated his career immediately following graduation, with Data Financial, Inc., where he enjoyed a long and successful career, first as a Sales Manager and later as President of the company.

Ed enjoys continued success at NFSG, which is reflected by the numerous recognition awards* he has received. He has been a President’s Club Member for five years; a member of the Premier Producers Group (PPG), Silver Level; and is a 2006 Qualifier of the PPG Gold Level*. Ed is also a Lifetime Member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT).*

NFSG’s philosophy of involvement in and commitment to projects that are significant in the community are, in an inspiring way, fully embraced by Ed. He and his wife Joan are the founders of the Women’s Refuge of St. Johns County, where he currently serves as the active President and Board Chairman. Ed was the first recipient of the NFSG 2006 Flame of Excellence Award for outstanding community service. 

Ed is also an active board member for the Cross Life International Counseling and Training Center in Vero Beach, FL, and for the Lift Up Your Eyes Ministries, in Raleigh, NC. He is the Finance Committee Chairman for Turning Point Ministries and is a board member on the Insurance and Finance Committee for the Lion’s Gate Homeowner’s Association. 

A Jacksonville native, Ed is married to Joan Clements, the greatest inspiration and support behind his charitable works. Ed and Joan have two daughters and five grandchildren. They fully enjoy a close family relationship and are active members of Turning Point Baptist Church in St. Augustine, FL, where they are involved in music, teaching and marriage counseling.
